Using this website
The pages on this site are general information about plumbing. They are not a substitute for an inspection by a licensed plumber. Every home is different, and the right fix depends on what the plumber finds on site.
Booking by phone
Service is booked by calling our line. Calls to our line may be recorded for quality and training purposes. A booking is a request for a visit, and the schedule depends on plumber availability and the urgency of the problem.
Pricing
The plumber gives you a price before work starts. If the plumber finds a different problem once the work begins, we explain the change and ask for your approval before continuing. After-hours rates, where they apply, are stated before the truck leaves.
Your responsibilities
- Give accurate information about the problem and the address
- Make sure someone over 18 is present, or has authorized access
- Secure pets and clear a path to the work area
- Shut off water at the main valve if it is safe to do so
Permits and code
Some plumbing work requires a permit or inspection. Permit rules vary, so ask your local building department. We will tell you when the job you describe may need one.
Limits of our service
We handle plumbing. Structural, electrical, gas utility and mold remediation work are outside our scope, and we will say so when we see them. In a gas smell situation, leave the building and contact your gas utility or 911 first.
Cancellations and access
If you need to cancel or move a visit, call as early as you can so we can free the slot for another household. If the plumber arrives and cannot reach the work area, the visit may need to be rescheduled, and we will tell you before any charge applies.
Emergency service
Our line is open 24/7 for urgent plumbing problems. Availability on a given night depends on call volume, road conditions and weather. Dispatch will tell you honestly when a plumber can reach you, and will share steps to limit damage while you wait.
Warranty on parts and labor
Manufacturers may cover parts such as water heaters, pumps and fixtures under their own terms. Ask the plumber what applies to the part installed in your home, and keep your paperwork.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses from the use of this website. Nothing here limits any rights you have under Illinois law, or our responsibility for our own work on your property.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page is the current one. Questions can go through our contact page.
